bokashi and grapefruit

looking at the trees on the roof

the baby grapefruit

I couldn't resist. Although I did sleep on the decision before rushing across the street to see if it'd been sold. I bought a dwarf grapefruit tree. When I brought it home, the parking guy for the Chinese restaurant downstairs (actually one of my favorite people in Honolulu... I don't know his name and we don't even speak a common language, but I see him almost every day and he smiles and laughs and plays charades with me.) widened his eyes and threw up his arms to say what?! How are you going to keep a tree? Up there? On the roof? You're crazy! And then he laughed and went through his surprised look again.

This is my finished bokashi compost. yum. I buried and good amount in with the grapefruit when I replanted it.

This is not barf. It's the bokashi juice. I thinned it out with water poured it in with most of my other plants.

This is where the garden began, by the door.

This is the 3rd installment, the 2nd on the roof.

And did I mention, I have 2 baby pomegranites? The pomegranite tree loves the Bokashi.

I love your trees on your roof!! That is so cool!! I wish I could do that on my roof! :-) I can imagine your silent conversation with that guy.
