the occasions around the winter solstice

On December 25th
We tried to skype with David,
Anica's husband,
and Tim, Anica and Jacob's dad.

On December 30th
we celebrated Atira's 2nd
birthday at Chiang Mai.

On December 31st
We lit off fireworks with friends.

On January 1st we drove to the North Shore
to see Natalia and Brandon and

Kai! They moved to Laie to go to school.
YAY!

On January 3rd we drove up to Wa'ahila Ridge Park
to pick wild strawberry guava.
It wasn't quite ripe.

Atira found a couple of mostly ripe berries.

On January 4th we went to Frankies Nursery where
I picked up my birthday present to myself.
A dragon fruit cactus.

And a pomegranite tree! Happy birthday to me!
