fabulous

i've read, recently, a great book. i read it and digested a bit and have been shamelessly implementing my new techniques whenever i can. my mad skilz need some fine tuning, but i'm very pleased so far.

*as a side note, this is about the time in learning something new where i need to practice a little caution. i tend to develope a know-it-all attitude (apologies to those of you who've experienced this-i'm still right though ;) i get very bold and generally end up sticking my foot awsomely in my mouth.

so, my goal is to continue paying attention so that i keep getting good results. in a nutshell though, the ideas are great. there are only maybe 8 techniques, but the application is so versatile, that you don't really need more than that. also, the ideas about conflict resolution respectful of individuals, with built in boundary setting techniques. love it. these ladies (the authors) also have a website: here.

what i really like about these techniques, you can have a problem solving discussion between individuals with different social power (big/small, loud /quiet, introverted/extroverted, problem solver/tangent talker) and everyone can leave feeling heard and valued.

it was written in the 80's, so it's probably at your local library.

I've heard of this book and of course, with a title like that, who wouldn't want to read it? Your recommendation just heightens the interest. Please continue to pass along your wisdom!
