no, not the magazine, but what i rememer about the last month.
-i was riding my bike to work and had to stop at a stop light. a teeny little old man came a cross the crosswalk pushing a wheel chair with a teeny little old woman shuffling beside him. he looked at my bike and asked to trade.
-swimming with tima-lima. first breeana (atira's thursday babysitter) and i went with her, she was so brave, she worked really hard to kick kick paddle paddle from me to b. later on in the week, j and i took her swimming. this time she experimented with cannonballs (whose idea do you suppose that was? i'll give you a hint: not me.) she loves uncle jacob, he is so fun!
-an evening picnic on the beach with j, anica and atira. eating watermelon and feta cheese and salad. so fun. then we had contests to see who could run in the tightest circle in the sand without falling over.
-since my bike got stolen, i've been too resentful to buy new lights and a bell. it makes jacob very worried and since i love to go on bike riding dates at night with him, i finally swallowed my pride and bought new lights and a bell. I went home and took a shower intending to ask j to help me install them when he got home. when i got out of the shower, he was in the living room installing new lights and bell on my bike that he had bought independantly on his way home from work. he gave my bike a full tune-up. boy, did i feel special, loved and taken care of. it kind of makes me laugh, romance for practical people.
-new sheets arrived in the mail. 600 thread count, woo!
- a weekend trip to the big island. we swam in river above rainbow falls, ate fresh off the tree banana and papaya everyday, got fabulous butter avacados a dollar a piece at the farmers market. yum! also visited the visitor center on mauna kea.

What a wonderful list! Every little thing makes me smile.
There's a lot to be said for practical romance. Truth be known, it's probably the best kind there is. You've got to admit that it does lend a hand to all the other kinds.
nice to hear from you Annie. Miss the Big Island.
And you.

am missing my annie!
Wow, sounds like fun. It sounds so much more green and alive than our little desert here. I want to eat fresh fruit off the tree! I bet your farmers market puts our to shame too. I need to move somewhere green.
